This Endowment, established in the 2000/2001 season, was created to ensure the future of the UT PAC. This endowment makes it possible to bring not just artists, but world-class artists; to create not just educational programs, but Lifelong Learning programs; to not just be part of the UT curriculum, but to be the "largest classroom on campus."
Our goal is for The Endowment for Performing Excellence, now holding steady at approximately $10 million, to reach a worth of $20 million by the time Bass Concert Hall re-opens.
Creating an Enduring Legacy
To assure that the PAC's commitment to education, programming excellence, and growth is not jeopardized by fluctuations in yearly budgets, the local economy, or even prevailing tastes in popular entertainment, the PAC must have a permanent source of funding for the future. By building a larger endowment to provide increased levels of annual funding, the PAC will achieve its ambitious goals.
A $20 million Endowment will break down into usage as follows:
PERFORMING EXCELLENCE
Unrestricted, discretionary funds will help provide annual programming support and subsidize discounted ticket prices.
FUND FOR THE CREATION OF NEW AMERICAN ART
This fund will be devoted to bringing the world's finest artists to conceive and mount new works alongside UT students.
ARTS EDUCATION-LIFELONG LEARNING
Education and outreach programs that works to build bridges between the PAC's visiting artists and the community organizations, schools, and members of the public. This is done through limited complimentary tickets for main-stage performances, post-performance Q&A's, workshops, master classes, lecture demonstrations, and youth performances.
ARTES AMÉRICAS
Present Latin American and US Latino artists at the UT Performing Arts Center. Share accompanying educational materials with the Americas.- Plan, facilitate and execute both educational exchanges and professional exchanges throughout the Americas.
ANNUAL OPERATION
Annual upkeep and upgrades to all PAC facilities will ensure the Center's ongoing commitment to state-of-the-art production facilities. |
