Hogg Memorial Auditorium
From its dedication in 1933 until the mid-1970s, Hogg Memorial Auditorium was the primary space for performing arts in Austin.  Through the years, thousands of students, including Rip Torn, Tommy Tune, Harvey Schmidt, and many others entertained audiences on its stage.

Hogg Memorial Auditorium fulfills an important role within the PAC.  As a mid-sized theatre, Hogg is perfect for productions that are too small for Bass Concert Hall and too large for the PAC’s smaller venues.  Strategically, the restoration of Hogg will benefit not only the UT Campus, but also the entire Austin arts community.

Hogg Memorial Auditorium is located in the shadow of the UT Tower on the original 40 acres at the historic heart of the campus.  With 1200 seats and considerable architectural value, the restored Hogg will encourage cultural participation across the University and Austin through student productions, local civic performances, and international touring groups.
